PATTERNS

Patterns are unlimited, fascinating and powerful. Every human being has a unique pattern on their hands. Pattern is part of our identity.

Observing and experiencing a pattern opens us up to the rhythm of life, helps us survive, allows us to grow. A famous song line was, ‘the rhythm of life is a powerful beat’ and it is. Patterns create expectations, show us connections and inspire us to seek more, to ask questions.

Seasons have patterns. They come and go. And every time that pattern has an influence on nature and on us too.  Patterns are external, internal and intrinsic. Intrinsic patterns are like our DNA they are a part of our make-up. Internal patterns are emotional and behavioral.

When you see a pattern of behavior, it can change your life. Seeing a pattern can give you a powerful ‘Ah Ha moment’.

It takes time for us to re-experience the same outcome until we recognize the pattern. The pattern develops from inner beliefs and values and how we set up a strategy to respond to a certain event or situation. The set up helps us to cope ‘initially’ so unconsciously we fall into that pattern each time we think the situation has re-arisen.

We may even attract the same type of relationship over and over because it triggers that pattern of behavior in us even though it no longer works. We can react without needing to think which in some situations is very useful, because we have an established pattern but in other situations, we may wish to have more control.

Pattern recognition can lead to deeper understanding of our self, new discoveries, breakthrough ideas, and innovative concepts and allows us to change.  Because the brain is wired to recognize patterns, everyone has the potential to be pattern smart, but, in different ways. We are all an unlimited mass of patterns living in a world of patterns and surrounded by a universe of patterns.

And Mandalas are a way of connecting to those patterns.
